VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Along with partnering with parents in stewarding their children's educational development, the ICS encourages parents to work with us as volunteers.

Curriculum & Assessment

IPA offers a rigorous academic program with a focus on individual results and achievement.

CLUBS & PROGRAMS

Our goal with the clubs is for children to engage one another with shared interests in subjects outside of the curriculum they experience throughout the school day.

DRESS CODE & OTHER POLICIES

To ensure a successful educational experience for our students, ICS has established these dress codes and policies.

Irvington Community Middle School offers a rigorous academic program with a focus on individual results and achievement. Teachers meet in weekly grade-level teams to share their curriculum-based strategies and to meet the needs of their students.

Assessment tools are used to drive instruction and target individual student needs through differentiated instruction, small group instruction, pull-out services (involving small group work with teachers' assistants, literacy and math coaches and aides, and/or special education instructors), and after-school tutoring and enrichment sessions.

Teachers at ICMS employ a variety of instructional resources ranging from Internet and computer technology, novels, textbooks, videos, and hands-on materials. Textbooks are only one small part of instructional resources used at ICMS. The following textbook series have been adopted as tools to aid instruction:

Math

Science

Social Studies

Language Arts/Reading
