The Irvington Way ICS Athletics

Along with partnering with parents in stewarding their children's educational development, the ICS encourages parents to work with us as volunteers.

Curriculum & Assessment

IPA offers a rigorous academic program with a focus on individual results and achievement.

Our goal with the clubs is for children to engage one another with shared interests in subjects outside of the curriculum they experience throughout the school day.

To ensure a successful educational experience for our students, ICS has established these dress codes and policies.

The ICS is proud of its many achievements during the past six years. Among them are:

  • The growth of the ICS, from 115 K-5 students in 2002 to 534 K-10 students by the 2007-2008 school year
  • The construction and opening of the K-8 school on E. Julian Avenue in 2004
  • The property acquisition, renovation, and opening of the Irvington Community High School in 2006
  • Twenty-eight percent of the K-8 student body received either the Presidential Physical Fitness Award and/or the National Physical Fitness Award during the 2006-2007 school year
  • Recipient of the National Charter Schools Week Proclamation signed by President George W. Bush, May 2005
  • Participant in the Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, Inc.'s Partners in the Environment school grounds beautification program; projects have included the creation of the ICS outdoor classroom; extensive tree, shrub, perennial, and bulb plantings; and woodland, detention pond, and Pennsy Trail cleanup
