Along with partnering with parents in stewarding their children's educational development, the ICS encourages parents to work with us as volunteers.
IPA offers a rigorous academic program with a focus on individual results and achievement.
Our goal with the clubs is for children to engage one another with shared interests in subjects outside of the curriculum they experience throughout the school day.
To ensure a successful educational experience for our students, ICS has established these dress codes and policies.
We prepare our students for college success, with a sharp 4-year focus on academic preparedness.

On Friday, February 3, 2012, senior class members of the Irvington Preparatory Academy’s Student Council brought their brawn and enthusiasm to the Habitat for Humanity of Greater Indianapolis "Super Build 46" event at the Chase Near-Eastside Legacy Center, located on the Arsenal Technical High School campus. Super Build 46 is an annual Habitat for Humanity demonstration project in partnership with the National Football League involving nearly 200 volunteers, including NFL players. The Indianapolis Colts were represented by Justin Snow and Ernie Sims.
IPA students, along with Irvington Community School, Inc. facilities worker Mr. Tyler, Director of Corporate Security Mr. McKinney, and ICS volunteer Mr. Alfarez, helped to erect wall panels inside the Legacy Center gym. Working alongside our students and volunteers were Toby Gerhart of the Minnesota Vikings and retired NFL player Chris Draft. The project resulted in two demonstration homes being built inside the gym in four hours.
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Indianapolis plans to build and/or renovate 30 homes in 2012. IPA students have been invited to directly participate in at least one of those projects, which will involve the renovation of an Irvington home.
