Along with partnering with parents in stewarding their children's educational development, the ICS encourages parents to work with us as volunteers.
IPA offers a rigorous academic program with a focus on individual results and achievement.
Our goal with the clubs is for children to engage one another with shared interests in subjects outside of the curriculum they experience throughout the school day.
To ensure a successful educational experience for our students, ICS has established these dress codes and policies.
We prepare our students for college success, with a sharp 4-year focus on academic preparedness.

The Music Department at Irvington Preparatory Academy has doubled its course offerings for the 2011-2012 school year. We currently offer three performing ensembles: Beginning Band, Beginning Choir, and Intermediate Choir. Students must dedicate themselves to band or choir for at least one year. The other music electives include Music History and Appreciation, Piano and Electronic Keyboard, and Music Theory and Composition. These three classes are one trimester in length. Mr. Jimmy Wingett is responsible for teaching band and Ms. Jennifer Shuck is teaching all of the other IPA music courses. Ms. Shuck is also teaching Theatre Arts, which will be offered during the second trimester.
The growth of our program also means an increase in music performances. The choirs will have fall, holiday, and spring concerts. The Intermediate Choir will represent IPA at the Indiana State School Music Association (ISSMA) festival contest in April 2012. And, of course, the annual IPA Variety Show will be sponsored by the choirs in February 2012.
