Become a STUCO Booster Club Volunteer!

The ICS Student Council (STUCO) is starting a Student Council Booster Club. The club will be comprised of ICS parents interested in providing the additional adult support that is often needed with Student Council activities.

STUCO is a student organization whose purpose is to promote positive student attitudes toward school; encourage cooperation among students, faculty, and community; and provide an opportunity for students to develop skills in student leadership. The Student Council organizes many activities such as school dances, the Move ‘n’ Groove-a-thon, community service work, concession stand staffing at school athletic events, fundraising activities, talent shows, and more.

Although students are expected to do most of what needs doing, oftentimes it is helpful to have additional adults on hand to the complement the STUCO sponsors, Mr. Stallard and Ms. Jacobs, and the committee chairs: Megan Welsh, Spirit Committee; Jennifer Daugherty, RSVP Committee; Bethany May, Community Service Committee; and Laura Allen, Fundraising Committee. Adult volunteers are needed for supervision, transportation, advice, planning, and moral support! So we are looking to establish a core group of parents that we can call on when various STUCO activities come up. It’s a great way to be involved with our amazing students! It’s also a great way to meet your annual family volunteer hours commitment (20 is the minimum requirement per the ICS Parent/Student/Teacher Contract).

We look forward to hearing from you! For questions or concerns or to volunteer, email or call him at 357-5359 ext. 129. Thanks!
