Jesse Terry Memorial Tree Planted on Winter Solstice
On the snowy morning of the 2009 winter solstice, Monday, December 21st, Jesse Terry's family gathered at the ICS to plant a memorial tree in his honor behind the school's Outdoor Classroom. The red maple was kindly donated by Keep Indianapolis Beautiful Inc. through the assistance of Ginny Roberts, KIBI's Director of Educational Initiatives. Jesse's 6th Grade Teacher Mr. Yeoman, stepfather Chad Roberts, and sister Kerryn Rodriguez planted the tree, as shown in the accompanying photos. Jesse's mother Rebecca Roberts, grandmother, and several ICS staff members also attended.
