Open House Schedule Begins Tomorrow Night at ICS

Irvington’s newest and most innovative schools are now accepting applications for the 2010-2011 school year. The Irvington Community School is an elementary school with 420 students enrolled in grades K-8. It offers a daily physical education class, and twice-weekly classes in Art, Music, and Spanish. We will be holding an open house on Thursday, February 4th, from 5-7 p.m. The ICS is located at 6705 East Julian Avenue. Of note, we offer school tours weekly on Wednesdays at 2 p.m., by appointment, please.

The Irvington Preparatory Academy is a college-prep high school, with 300 students in grades 9-12. It offers a rigorous curriculum, including Advanced Placement and dual-credit courses. Two open houses are scheduled: Thursday, February 4th, from 5-7 p.m., and Monday, February 8th, from 5-7 p.m. The IPA is located at 6040 E. Pleasant Run Parkway, S. Drive. Weekly tours are also offered at the IPA on Tuesdays, from 2 p.m. by appointment.

Our enrollment application is now available through a link on our homepage at www.ics-charter.org. The enrollment application deadline is Friday, February 19th, 2010.
